¶ Shell
The Shell is a special “Sector” usually hidden from the Supercomputer and its Programs.
It is the exterior of Sector Five, and as such, it is possible to enter it by using a massive tunnel protruding from the structure. It does not contain any Towers nor any terrain to walk on aside from the giant sphere and its tunnel.
It is automatically created alongside Sector Five once it is rebuilt if Lyoko's core was destroyed previously.
¶ Access
The Shell is only accessible under certain circumstances, acting as a failsafe in case something is wrong with Lyoko's sectors:
- Attempting to virtualize into a destroyed surface sector or one that is flooded by a Software Attack launched by XANA.
- Attempting to leave Sector Five using a tunnel to go into a destroyed or flooded surface sector.
If you are virtualized into this sector, you will appear right above the Digital Sea and will fall into it if you do not summon an Overvehicle in time.

- The existence of this sector implies that Lyoko actually has six sectors on MRCL.
