Enemies such as XANA can activate towers to attack Earth. They are stopped by deactivating the tower, but some attacks may require a Return To The Past to prevent a disaster.
Certain attacks have items that can be used to avoid its effects. The Kadikeon program can be used to find the location of these items.
There are three modules (plugins) adding attacks to XANA:
The activated tower launches a Possession protocol and xanafies a player.
This attack is part of the Core module.
The activated tower launches multiple Possession protocols equal to the amount of possessed players, which will xanafy 1/3 of online players.
This attack is part of the ProjectXANA module.
The activated tower launches a Train Control protocol, which will force a train transporting toxic chemicals to crash.
This attack is part of the ProjectXANA module.
The activated tower launches a Pylon Overload protocol, which will overload an electric pylon that will release the energy once its capacity reaches 100% to blow up a nuclear plant.
Once the energy is released, the tower will automatically deactivate, allowing for a last minute return to the past to stop the nuclear plant from exploding if there are no other activated towers.
This attack is part of the ProjectXANA module.
The activated tower launches a Defense Satellite protocol, which will deviate the trajectory of a meteorite to make it fall on the city.
This attack requires a return to the past to be launched once the tower is deactivated.
This attack is part of the ProjectXANA module.
The activated tower launches a Spectre protocol, which will summon a spectre of Sissi near the park's manhole at Kadic.
This attack will not be launched if no one is within a 200 block radius of the spectre's spawning location.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Spectre protocol, which will summon a spectre of Jim near the boiler room's sewers entrance at Kadic.
This attack will not be launched if no one is within a 200 block radius of the spectre's spawning location.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Gravity Manipulation protocol, which will give players a levitation effect, dealing them fall damage once the effect wears off.
This attack will not be launched if no one is on Earth.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Military Satellite protocol, which will shoot powerful lasers at players that are not under cover.
This attack will not be launched if no one is on Earth.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Music Generation protocol, which will play a deadly music that will damage anyone that hears it.
This attack requires a return to the past to be launched once the tower is deactivated.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Root Control protocol, which will trap players standing on grass.
This attack will not be launched if no one can be trapped.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Spectre protocol, which will summon a spectre of an explosion worker on the factory bridge that will place a detonator inside the factory.
This attack requires the detonator to be disarmed or a return to the past to be launched once the tower is deactivated.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches two Spectre protocols, which will summon spectres of two men in black in the factory, with one attacking the Supercomputer's Circuits.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Weather Satellite protocol, which will deal damage due to pollen.
This attack can only be launched if the season in France is spring.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Weather satellite protocol, which will deal damage due to a heatwave.
This attack can only be launched if the season in France is summer.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Weather satellite protocol, which will deal damage due to thunder strikes attacking the player.
This attack can only be launched if the season in France is autumn.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a Weather satellite protocol, which will deal damage due to the freezing temperature.
This attack can only be launched if the season in France is winter.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
The activated tower launches a spectre protocol, which will summon a spectre of an explosion worker at Kadic that will place a detonator inside the school.
This attack requires the detonator to be disarmed or a return to the past to be launched once the tower is deactivated.
This attack is a harder variant of the FactoryBombAttack for when there is a high amount of players.
This attack is part of the Phoenix module.
Some modules actually had more attacks in total, but those have been removed as they were not interesting enough.
A tower was randomly activated, but it had no effect.
This attack was part of ProjectCarthage's Core module.
Multiple towers were randomly activated, but they had no effect.
This attack was part of ProjectCarthage's Core module.
The activated tower locked the boiler room at Kadic, forcing players to go through the park entrance.
This attack was part of the ProjectXANA module.
The ProjectXANA module also had another attack: BadWeather. However, it has been reworked in Phoenix and became the TerribleThunderstorm attack.
The activated tower launched a software error protocol, which made the scanners always virtualize you to Sector Five.
The software error protocol was a temporary protocol and was replaced by Software Attacks in the Elevated Functions update. This attack was not moved to software attacks as they were stopped by going to Sector Five and therefore became redundant.
This attack was part of the ProjectXANA module.
The activated tower launched a factory connection protocol, which broke the elevator.
This attack wasn't launched if no one was on Earth.
